Youth Camp 2017

Spring of 2017 we are putting on a 2-3 day camp for about 90 youth in rural Kenya. This is something that these kids rarely get to do. Usually, they are busy fetching water, washing laundry and dishes, and working in the fields which are great to help the family out but they don't get much time to just be kids. We have a couple Kenyans who have agreed to teach tribal dances, beadwork, we will do some art projects, then teach how to repair soccer balls that get punctured and to repair slippers that break. Fun but useful knowledge! All supplies will be bought in the country to support businesses in Kenya and we will be providing them lunch and snacks throughout each day camp. $2,500 for food $200 for art supplies $200 for beads, clasps, string $100 Upholstery thread, awls, needles, leather or rubber scraps $250 Bus fare, meals, hotel for Kenyan camp leaders.
